FREE Lifeline Accidental Counsellor Workshop
Sometimes we find ourselves supporting a friend, family member or colleague who is going through a difficult time. Knowing what to say, how to listen and where to direct someone for further help can make an important difference.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club is partnering with Lifeline to offer a FREE Accidental Counsellor Workshop – 1800RESPECT.
This practical four-hour workshop will help participants build the skills and confidence to:
- Listen and respond effectively when someone reaches out
- Recognise when a person may need additional support
- Approach difficult or sensitive conversations with confidence
- Connect people with appropriate professional services and support
