RYDE-EASTWOOD LEAGUES CLUB LTD ABN 77 000 431 792
NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF PROPOSED AMALGAMATION
On 28 January 2020, Club Thirroul called for expressions of interest in an amalgamation. Ryde-Eastwood Leagues saw this opportunity and reached out by lodging an expression of interest. Since then, both clubs have continued negotiations. Club Thirroul received and considered expressions of interest from other clubs but settled on Ryde-Eastwood Leagues as the most suitable amalgamation partner.
Club Thirroul owns its own land at 2B Station Street, Thirroul, comprising a relatively new clubhouse, 2 bowling greens and parking facilities. Club Thirroul holds 50 gaming machine entitlements and has approximately 2,280 members. Its facilities include Clubhouse comprising bars and dining facilities, gaming, TAB and Keno, Functions facilities, Lawn bowls (2 bowling greens), and Courtesy bus.
The amalgamation with Club Thirroul will provide Ryde-Eastwood Leagues with a greater membership, increased revenue and trading, the prospect of a more financially viable club with combined skill sets and efforts to fend off future challenges facing the Amalgamated Club.
